The bathroom is the most-used room in many homes, yet it is often the most overlooked during renovation. The latest trends turn this functional space into a daily luxury.

Trend 1 - Light and airy design

Bright, airy bathrooms are the defining trend. White and light-grey palettes, large-format tiles with minimal grout lines, and frameless glass screens make small Hong Kong bathrooms feel significantly larger.

Trend 2 - Rainfall showers and thermostatic controls

A rainfall shower head combined with a thermostatic valve delivers a spa-like experience every morning. Hand showers with slide bars remain essential for flexibility and easy cleaning.

Trend 3 - Smart mirrors and lighting

Backlit LED mirrors with anti-fog function add both style and practicality. Layered lighting - general, task and accent - allows you to adjust the mood from bright morning prep to a relaxing evening soak.

Trend 4 - Wall-hung fixtures

Wall-hung vanities and toilets make cleaning effortless and create a sense of space by revealing the floor. They also allow flexibility in positioning during renovation.

Trend 5 - Quality waterproofing

The most important trend is invisible: thorough waterproofing. Proper membrane application and testing protect both your home and your neighbours below. Never compromise on this stage.

At LICHT Engineering we design and build bathrooms that combine the latest trends with lasting quality, backed by our written guarantee on waterproofing and workmanship.
